Huawei announces its powerful Kirin 710 processor for mid-range smartphones

Huawei’s new mobile chipset – Kirin 710 isn’t really a surprise since we’ve reported about it about a month before the Chinese company announced it. The new mobile processor is aimed at mid-range handsets and it’s supposed to compete with another chip, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710.However, unlike Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 processor that’s manufactured using the 10nm process, Kirin 710 utilizes TSMC’s older 12nm manufacturing technology.
